    Description

    This is a used sample of antique barbed wire fencing. This sample features a Joseph F. Glidden patent dated, November 24, 1874. This wire is called "Glidden's Two-Point Barb Around Two Parallel Line Wires", by collectors. (ref Hagemeier 324-B). This wire features two line wires, placed side by side in parallel fashion. Barbs are Two pointed made by wrapping a round barbing wire twice around both lines. This sample is 18" in length and has four barbs,. Barbs are well spaced, and cut is well centered. Wire shows age wear, with light to moderate pitting. There are no broken or missing barbs. There is some light bending of barbing points and lines. Wire is in good used condition. There are no off odors. I have listed other wires, both as auction and fixed price listings.
