Description
These are a matching holster and cartridge belt from Atkins-Boothman Saddlery out of Fort Worth, Texas. Research on the internet shows their saddles are considered to be the best available. Their gun leather is no different. The holster fits a Colt Single Action 4 3/4” perfectly. The holster is leather laced with a hand carved, floral design. The leather lacing is all secure with no loose pieces. The leather is in good shape. From my research these items are circa 1940’s, which is now 80 years old. The belt and holster are both marked Atkins-Boothman Fort Worth, Texas. The belt has a silver plated buckle and keeper, marked Don Ricardo on the back. The front has an inlaid cowboy on a bucking bronco. Don Ricardo was very famous and his work is very collectible. The belt has 20 cartridge loops that will hold the .32 -20 cartridges. All the cartridge loops are firmly attached. The belt measures 44” from tip to tip. These pieces will make a great display piece with a lot of history. The Atkins-Boothman Saddlery building still exists today in the Fort Worth Stockyards. See attached photo of the building as it appears today and a newspaper ad for the store from the 1940’s.I wanted to let buyers know that we normally ship items on the same day or next day after we receive payment but we were recently forced to start using eBay Managed Payments. Once you have made payment to eBay, they deduct their fees and hold the amount due to the seller. It has always been our policy to ship the same day or next day after payment is received but there will now be a few days delay until we are paid. I apologize for the delay but this is due to eBay changes. In addition, I will have to refrain from selling international in the future due to an additional fee of 1.65% deducted from the payment.
I’m sorry for these changes but they are all due to eBay policies.
Thank you to all of the people who have bought some of our collectibles on eBay over the past 22 years. Unfortunately, eBay’s new policies make it impossible to continue to sell on their site. Over the next several weeks, we will move our items to other sites that sell collectibles and sporting goods. Please look for us under the same name and thanks again for being great customers.
